Add a Peek stage to the tranform stage make sure that all the columns appears in the input of the peek stage. You may have this already but check th...

Migrating from Linux to AIX
Recently migrated several jobs from the Linux DEV Server to the QA AIX server. Currently some of the migrated jobs are now producing NULL values for all the output fields, regardless if the output is a file, peek or table. Placement of a peek prior to the transform stage shows correct data values. I...

SqlPlus Not connecting
After installing Oracle Client 11g, I can not connect to sqlplus. I check the bin directory and I can see sqplus with a size of 37 meg. The install was successful, I ran the required scripts at the end of the install. I am at a lost as to why this is not working. I completed the same installation on...

Error calling subroutine: DSR_IMPPLG (Action=1)
This is a new installation, no Prior DS version in effect. Change Capture Stage vs Upsert
Current water cooler debate that maybe someone outside can help with this discussion. For daily loads to Oracle Fact tables, that can have millions of rows. Would an Upsert work faster than the Change Capture Stage that will compare each input record from the daily transaction against each record in...

STATS ON SHARED CONTAINER
I may already know the answer to this question but I figured I would amuse myself. :D
Is there any way to check the execution stats of a shared container while it is being executed, similar to viewing a regular DS job running in Director.

SERVER Crash
I am looking into how to recovery my DS environment for one of our servers that was taken off line and cleared out by mistake. I can re install DS ver 7.5 on the Linux server. Is there a utility that will load the DS processes from the backup, which is a total backup of the server that is done daily...
