It is possible to delete IA jobs in Director, I went through that effort during our initial TEST of IA with IBM support engineer. Basically they have unsopported Wrapper and steps to do just that kind of delete. I will have to find the document and post it for you . . . . Going forward do not retain...

It is a lengthly process to DELETE a job in XMETA DB and I have been throught once we the help from IBM Support. I remember...

John Miceli, I have been checking the forum hopping to see your post. Have you gotten around to ask your Administrators about this . . . There was some other memory tuning that had to be done on the DataStage server (AIX Unix) before we got to somewhat acceptable levels. We're facing similar issues ...

A little of history: We're on AIX/DataStage 8.0.1, the project I prototyping is all server jobs. Well . . . The dsjob run fine to creates the XML files in the before job command and put them in the same location as before. NO warning are reported in the logs. Are there any know issues perhaps relate...

All/Kim As long as the logs files for DSJobReportDb (all of the instance it put in director are not purged) it works fine. I have set to purge the logs for this particular job(DSJobReportDb) in director to older than three days. The fourth day it does an auto-purge of first day logs, then all DSJobR...

We once had NLS turned ON and then turned it OFF . . . Then we're getting the same messages you're having in our jobs.

REINDEXING the PROJECT took care of the warning messages.

DS.REINDEXING ALL

I hope this will help!

If you choose ODBC connection you will need to do a Bind withing DataStage to your Mainframe(s) Database (This require DBA Authority from DataStage to do the bind)

Otherwise I had my DB2 UDB - DBA do a Catalog to the mainframe DB(s) you wish to connect.

Thanks . . . Bryceson

Folks,

I am running into the same problem . . . . as it has been describe above.

Where in DataStage do I need to set the tcp_finwait2??

I can't wait for 10 minutes to bring up DataStage Engine, I would like to set it to 30 seconds.

Thanks in advance

I have seen this happen before . . . . I got to work by sourcing the dsenv file

1. Try to stop the Engine

2. Source the dsenv file ($DSHOME/ . ./dsenv)

3. Start the Engine again

Craig, I want to use the CRC32 values to identify if the incoming row has changed or it is a new record. 1. For a new records - compare this new CRC32 value with the CRC32 values stored in a hashed file, not the same its an insert. 2. For changed records - check against the hashed files existence of...

Hamzaqk,

I think this is a question of choice!! Find your way out of DataStage to other ETL tools . . . . beside Arnd, Ray and Vincent gave you enough dose of Informations.

What is your choice??
