Some more details - The failed job will have only 7 entries - Main ones to notice are

- Start Job
- Load Environment Variables
- Failure (after waiting for 90 Minutes).

No "queries" are issued.... probably just trying to ping??

Job Run Times

Hey All,

Quick Question - Is there a table or place in datastage which holds the information of the past runs of a job other than the job logs?

Thanks

Scheduling a Job

I am in process of scheduling a job to run on 7th Jan 2009. As far as I understand in order to do that I need to go to director and schdule it using following options --

Run job - Next
Day - 7
Time - 7:00 PM

As this is in Prod I just wanted to double check.

Sorry I must have clarified that... They do not want to use Windows Scheduler etc etc. I am aware of that Datastage uses the same , but we are gettign there... Will require some time to convince them.

Okay going back to the main question I blv Ftp is the only way I guess then.
Thanks !!

Difference Between Insert and Update / Update and Insert

In my target DRS I see two options - Insert or Update and Update or Insert. Whts the difference between these two? I thought they do the same thing till I see it in my database the rows are getting duplicate if I use Insert or Update.

The other option is very slow . Please suggest.
