Thanks Srinivas,

My question was, is it possible to view partitions in any stages like sort or join.

These are not interview qs, i just started using PX, So just curious.

Thank you all for your inputs. As mentioned by Sainath, if we go from 4 node to 2 node, the issue that may be raised is irregular size of partitions? My Another question is, How can I view datasets using a command. Thanks Deepthi Arnd, I know it is possible to read 2 node ds via 4 but may have issue...

Dataset on 2nodes read with 4 nodes

Hi
A dataset is generated on 2 nodes. Can I read the same dataset using 4 nodes? What kind of repartitioning should i have to implement?

How can i view the dataset that is created?

Thanks

vertical pivoting

Hi ,

How can we implement vertical pivoting in datastage.

for eg:

we have

name mon sal
a jan 100
a feb 30
b jan 10
b feb 20

the output should be

name jan feb
a 100 30
b 10 20.

Please advice.

Thanks

kill a parallel job from datastage director

Hi

when a parallel job is running , it can have multiple instances, means multiple pids for one job.

How can we identify the pid's of the job and clear them from datastage director. Is there any other better way.

Thanks
