As the job uses a shared container....the job has been designed to limit the metadata passing through the shared container...and therefore require the rcp's.... any suggestions?

Yes, the RCP has to be there....well..tried removing the rcp by placing the copy stage but am afraid its not there as expected........thanks

Yes, the issue is found to be hiding behind the table :D . One of the field's data type length was found to be less than the required which generated this strange error. It was the odbc stage which exposed this out.

Hi, I am trying to insert records into oracle table whose primary key col will be using an oracle sequence. I have my user defined update & insert sql. Executing this in the command prompt solved the issue....

yes, it now works...whew!
after stripping the project name and storing it in a different file, i used the user variable stage to remove the Fieldmark @FM and have passed this to the Mail Notification stage and got my notification too.. :D

Yes you are right. Iam doing all this in the same sequencer job and am using the Excecute command stage for this.

I am taking that particular row and have tried putting it in another file so as to have one single line in it and am doing a 'cat' of that file. The command output is now passed as a parameter to the notification stage..but still couldnt make it

I have a list of email addresses in a file. I retrieve the nth row of the file and wish to pass this extract as a parameter in the notification stage. But I get an error stating thus "Parameter 2 ('') does not start with a keyword"...any idea what it means!!
