That seems to have worked. I wonder why dsjob requires this but the others do not? It isn't required on my other server. Could be related to Windows 2008, I guess... Thanks. I hadn't seen the options of -user and -password as they were scrolling off the screen when I ran dsjob to view parameters. :o...

39202 error on Windows but ONLY from dsjob??
I recently built a new server and installed DataStage 7.5. But I've run into a very odd instance of the 39202 error: It is only reported when I execute dsjob at the command line. The engine and projects folders all have the right permissions. I am logged in as an administrator. I can run the clients...

FWIW: I ran into this same exact issue after doing the same thing. I had a Windows 2008 server on which I'd installed and done an evaluation of 8.1 and later uninstalled it. We decided to find out just how well/poorly 7.5 operates on Windows 2008 -- even though it is not supported. After installing ...

Just received a reply (finally) and it came from the membership.director@dsxchange.com address. Not sure whether any of the others are still valid and the one on the dsxchange.net site does not have the period (.) in it so not sure if it works or not.

Yep, that was in the list: The 4th address was the one I had used last time I communicated on renewal.ray.wurlod wrote:Try editor@dsxchange.com (he's usually fairly responsive).

Membership info question
I've been sending emails to the contact addresses from the "Contacts" page and getting no response. I sent an email on May 2, again on May 11, and again today. I'm not sure to whom I should send queries regarding membership status and such. Does anyone have updated email addresses for them?

Yes, I was referring to Designer. I know it still works in Director -- which is good -- but it is unfortunate this got broken in Designer. Looking at the statistics in Director requires mentally translating the names of stages listed there to the physical stages in Designer in addition to having to ...

Performance statistics not visible in container
I'd not noticed this loss of functionality before. Under 7.5, if you created a container in the job (not a shared container, a local one) you could view the performance statistics in that container. Under 8.5, that functionality is gone? I can see it in the main page but on on any of the tabs where ...
It does work, but there are 2 sections for environment variables in the DSParams and both need to be changed/edited in order for it to work. I don't see a solution in this thread but believe I've found one. :-) Under 7.5 on Windows, I never had to update both sections. If I simply copied the [EnvVa...

All uvsh.exe process were gone. And the problem still existed after the reboot. I just exported and reimported the entire project to see if that makes a difference -- and found something very interesting: The offending job was imported along with everything else but was imported into a different fol...

Job appears in DS_JOBS but not in clients
I had something odd happen where I created a new job, compiled it, ran it -- and it just hung. Wouldn't go forward; just sat there. So I killed the job in Director which resulted in an aborted state. I then killed the process at the OS. I compiled and ran the job again -- same result. Feeling this w...

Are you running a different client version and server version? Nope. Same installation we've been running for the last three years. Client and server installed off the same media. dsbuildinfo.txt shows Server Section -------------- Ascential Build Date - Tue Jun 29 13:00:11 2004 Build Platform - WI...
