Cannot run uvsh - since yesterday!

This is the greeting I get: /usr/lib/dld.sl: Can't open shared library: ./uvdlls/libUtilWSClient.sl /usr/lib/dld.sl: No such file or directory Abort The reportedly missing file does exist in /asc/Ascential/DataStage/DSEngine/uvdlls. All permissions set (777). I copied that into /asc/Ascential/DataSt...

Thanks!
How stupid can I be? I know I saw it before (never used it) in the "Insert parameter value" list of any subsequent job activity!

Hey, I didn't know output of the command was available in Execute Command Stage! Only return code for the trigger.
Where can I find output?

But our jobs became REALY unscheduled! The user who scheduled them could not see the schedules and jobs didn't run!

We saw this happen here too on several occasions. Never investigated it thoroughly, but we suspect it had something to do with people scheduling sequences while logged in with a user other then the one always used for all schedules. Try scheduling everything with only one user, and see what happens.

Well, I guess I'll have to answer this myself:
-I know how to use export, so I will keep using it.
-I don't know how to use uvbackup, so I will not use it.

uvbackup vs export

Ever since we have installed DataStage we have been using Kim Dukes scripts to backup projects. But this involves the Windows box with client. I have found the following topics: http://www.dsxchange.com/viewtopic.php?t=88042&highlight=uvbackup http://www.dsxchange.com/viewtopic.php?t=84913&h...

We use this a lot. A dummy link on the left side (either from the row generator or "select dummy from dual") which triggers the right side declared as "user defined update only" which contains the merge statement. The downside is you don't get to see number of rows processed. Ray...

No need for MERGE if you want pure delete. MERGE has been with us only since Oracle 9something. You could search for "EXISTS" statement combined with DELETE.

I reindexed all projects. I still find Job Monitor not running almost every day. Any ideas?

Is a paralell job an option for you? I ask this because your post is in General forum. With paralell jobs it's easy to do what you request in your original post.

jobmon_ports file says: APT_JOBMON_PORT1=13400 APT_JOBMON_PORT2=13401 As for "Check there is no other application running on the ports taken by the JobMonApp", i did this: $ netstat -a | grep 13400 tcp 0 0 *.13400 *.* LISTEN $ netstat -a | grep 13401 tcp 0 0 *.13401 *.* LISTEN Is this OK?
