ODBC:Warning: Data type 0xE7 has an invalid data length

Hi Experts, Parallel job with source as ODBC connector is generating the below warning when run with/with out any data in source table. "SQLSTATE = HY000: Native Error Code = 8,016: Msg = [IBM (DataDirect OEM)][ODBC SQL Server Wire Protocol driver][SQL Server Parallel Data Warehouse]The incomin...

Thanks all for you valuable input.

I have tried using Index function, but to use that I need to bring both the columns in a single record, using a Cartesian Join.

Need to implement logic to apply join with PARTIAL match key

Hi Experts, I have a requirement of joining two tables on a column value with Partial Match (Not exact key match). Example: First Table Data value: "Mathematica" Second table Data value: "Mathematica 11.0 JDBC Support x64" "Mathematica 11.0 JDBC Support x86" "Wolfr...

Hi ray.wurlod

Thanks for the details. I updated the array size to 2 and the ODBC stage still fails. It fails for any sizes other than 1.

I will try to configure MAX_FETCH_BUFF in windows and see if it works.
Appreciate your help with this.

Improve performance for nvarchar(max)/LOB type in ODBC stage

The nvarchar(max) field of sql server is read as LOB by datastage ODBC stage ([IBM (DataDirect OEM)][ODBC SQL Server Wire Protocol driver]). In order to read the data it suggests to change the array size to 1 for LOB and this change highly impacts the performance. Is there any solution/workaround fo...

Error while inserting into nvarchar(max) record

Error while inserting into nvarchar(max) record of PDW through an ODBC stage in Datastage. The nvarchar(max) records are read as LOBs and treated has LOBs by Datastage. So, the array size had to be made to 1. This is working for most of the records. However when the text length is greater than 2000(...

The reason behind to make same metadata for all 7 tables is to Funnel the data and bring it into one link. I can't do this in source query by selecting "NULL as ColumnName" because this is not allowed as per our code standards. Also I tried to handle this with database, but our environment...

I don't want to use Transformer stage as I need to use 7 transformers. It would be great help, If anyone have...

DB2 vs SQL Server for repositories?

Hi experts, How much better still is using DB2 over SQL Server for IIS repositories these days (IADB and XMETA)? We are considering upgrading to 11.7 whilst re-architecturing (moving to RedHat). I am guessing it is safe to say that using DB2 for IIS repositories is the best option. However the DBA's...

Premium membership upgrade issue

Hi All, Would anyone know of the quickest way of getting in touch with Dennis or anybody else that could help with upgrading the membership? I have emailed him to membership.director@dsxchange.com and it bounced. I have also texted him to the phone number provided in http://www.dsxchange.com/viewtop...
