why dont you create a sheel script with the above code with extension .sh and put the same in ExecSH ( Instead of code)

How many records are there in the file?
try to view the data for first 100 reocrds. check for any error.
did you try spliting the file into 1GB ( four files ) then tried to read/load the file.

I can load a file of 3 GB without any issue with 13 Millions records.

The DS server was upgraded to 7.5.1.A few days ago and after that the jobs run with the follwing command are not working..


/opt/dsadm/DataStage/DSEngine/bin/dsjob -run Prod Load_daily

The command is in a Unix script.

Before the upgrade it was working fine.

There is some japanese data to be loaded to oracle 9i database ( UTF-8 ) . Data looks like junk after its loaded through datastage to oracle tables. what are the settings that I need to take care to load japanese chars to oralce. Note : My source is SAP BW....using extract pack to pull data... Pleas...

how abt using Ereplace function?

Hi all,

Ther is a carriage returns in the text of one of string fields in a coloumn.

Eg: PAY SLIP is the value of a field. SLIP is going to the next row as there
is a carriage retrun after PAY.

I need to remove this carriage return from the feild.

Please help.
