Since DS was used across the organisation, he was called in by the IT Dept. head and he resolved it. I shall be contacting the Consultant and will get a detailed report of what he did ...

Hi Deepak, Thanks for the response. Infact, I did the same for a few jobs and they ran successfully. But for a few others, even that didn't work. Moreover, the data that is passing the IPC stage in one of the cases is just 8 rows. Still, changing the parameter values didn't have any effect. I would ...

J_Stage_PS_LEDGER..IPC_in1.lkp_in: ds_ipcopen() - call to Cr
Hi,
I'm encountering the folowing error. I'm seeing this error because of IPC stage being used.
"J_Stage_PS_LEDGER..IPC_in1.lkp_in: ds_ipcopen() - call to CreateFileMapping() failed - The handle is invalid."
Any suggestions and remedies please?
Cheers,
Mohan

I need to know whether DataStage provides any built-in Configuration Management and Version Controlling features? Is so, I need the information on the same.
Or please let me know where else can I find info on it (like pdfs, URLs etc).
Thanks in advance...

Mohan

Achieveing performance while using Grid Computing
Hello,
I wanted to know how we can leverage PX while using Grid Computing? What are the significant advantages by using Grid Computing over other SMP/MPP/Clusters?
Cheers,
Mohan

QualityStage case studies needed
Hi,
I was recently trained on QualityStage. I would like to take up a few projects to practise. If you could provide me with case studies or links where can I find the case studies, it would be nice.
Cheers,
Mohan

Spawning of processes in a DSEE environment
Hi,
Suppose I have 8 CPUs and I configure 4 nodes out of it, can I assume that 1 node is equivalent to 2 CPUs?
Also, is node a Unix process? Is it a fork() that is being invoked to when the CPUs are converted into nodes?
Cheers,
Mohan

Hi, I need to extract data from a Oracle table using a Parallel Job. If I use a 4-node configuration, will the job implicitly create 4 different connections/sessions to Oracle? In that case, if I have 20 different Parallel jobs, will I end up creating 80 connections to Oracle? Please throw some ligh...
