Not quite sure what you are trying to do, but I would take and use a sf > transformer > and three seq files as out put. put a constraint on the first column to divert the records to the appropriate file a.txt,b.txt,c.txt. I don't know why you are using a folder stage. a folder stage is used to read ...

Well as previously stated Datastage has no limit. That being said, I have never nor would I ever load x amount of tables within the same job unless it was a 0ne time load and even then it would have to be adventagious to me.. For instance we load 180 * 2 (two diff. Companys) use diff. Instance Ids. ...

Personally, Unless you are quite familiar with the xmeta database, I would not mess with it. You could cause more problems then you want. Anytime you make back door changes to anything nothing good comes of it. Thats why the provisions are there to handle this issue from the front door. But, it is y...

I assume you are using powershell because you are using SQL server and you want to know when the job completes so that you can execute something on SQL server afterwards? I don't know how you are executing your dsjob commands, but I would write a script.ksh on the datastage server, thats a korn shel...

Thats a database thing. They are two seperate processes. If all the rows in the first process completed correctly then they will commit regardless of what the second stage does. If this cannot happen then I would load the tables in two seperate jobs. I would then put some logic in so that if job two...

Well I see you want Ray to do the work for you. What have you done? Have you tryed anything? If a job cannot open a dataset it usually logs that pretty clearly.Like cannot find dataset . I don't see that error in any of your replies. If both datasets are there and the job points to them and the path ...

ODBC Connector Stage in 8.5
So I am in the process of converting from the depreciated SQL server stages, OLDB to the ODBC Connector stage in 8.5. My User defined SQL SELECT 1 as BATCH_KEY, 1 as BUSINESS_DATE_KEY , FEES_CODE_KEY, 'D' as Record_Status_Code, GETDATE() as DW_DATE_MODIFIED FROM #DW_LIB#.dbo.tDim_#TableName# a WHERE...
