Was this issue ever resolved?

If it was resolved then what was the solution? Was it setting the NLS_LANG parameter?

OK, I resolved....The OS was AIX 6.1 (64.bit) and IS 8.1 and XLC 10.1 so the 10.1 XLC plus adding the -q64 in this environemnt solved the issue. Thanks

So are you saying the following options worked or didn't?

APT_COMPILEOPT=-O -q64 -c
APT_LINKOPT=-G -q64

I have the same ones and get the same error.....So is the solution to remove the -q64 as someone indicated? or what did you actually do to fix?

I migrated nothing yet.....Thanks

Well someone already has the Job open so tell them to close (including Job Monitor or Director)

Or

There is a orphanded lock so perform UNLOCK ALL

Or

If your IS 8 and greater then go to IS Console Sessiona Management and disconnect any orphaned sessions....

Well setting NLS_LANG is one thing but have you set utf8 in the dsenv? have you set the NLS to utf8 in the DS Admin GUI so all JObs and Stages understand there defaults?

Well, I have seen this but you provide not enough info. I beleive the issue centers on the xmeta repository and specifically it running out of space. If its Oracle or DB2 look for tablespace issues, possible "quotas" placed on the tablespace and so on. But your key is the xmeta repository ...

Search for tnsnames.ora within your Oracle Home location in Admin/network location and edit the file. But the only one that can change is the Oracle DBA (Admin rights) so approach your DBA and just ask them.

Remote Server is the IP Address or Hostname of the Oracle database server. Its optional because if you have a tnsnames.ora file created properly then it gets its information there.

No you can't go into IS Console until install is completed. Why it asks in the middle of your install for Doamin and so on is weird.....Call Support... Local registry implies OS or you add Users outside of IS like in the DS 7.5 < days vs. internal which would allow one OS UserID and all others are a...
