Datastage has its own database called "DataStage Engine" which is derived from UniVerse which gets installed anutomatically while installing datastage server & where all repository objects are stored.
Hence as far as I know datastage cant be installed with out this database.

ArwdW:I don't think you can install on an NFS mounted drive; and even if you could it isn't a good idea to do so.

After successfully importing all the jobs, while opening number of jobs prompting this message "Record rdbload in file DS_STAGETYPES does not exit".
Pls suggest to overcome this.

Infact i am aware of it...But i am finding alternate ways if it exits with out deleting it.
