Is there a way for us to name the DSJOBREPORT file?
Hi all,
I'm using the DSJobReport in after job routine to get all the job details. Now here the DataStage names the report file by itself as JobName_YYYYMMDD_HHMMSS.txt. Is there a way for me to give the report a name of my choice?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Lookup on a sequntial file
Hi all,
Just a simple question. Can we perform lookup in a parrallel job with the reference data on a Sequential file and not on a Lookup FileSet or a table?

Re: Maximum Record Limit For lookup stage
Lookup stage can handle any number of records. There is no limit to that. A general threshold of 1 million records is set just to be on the safer side for performance reasons. It mainly depends on the resource allocated to the server machine, memory in particular. Talk to the admin and find out what...

Like Srinivasalu pointed Hash partitioning is key based partitioning. Now in order for you to give better explanation (I suppose this is an interview question) Hash partitioning is used in stages like Aggregator, Remove Duplicate or any of the stages where similar records needs to be in the same par...

Re: splitting sub records!!!
I'm sorry, that would be the "Field" function, not the Index.
