As I understand it for Datastage, it is only jobs that have a Transformer that require the C++ compiler and that it needs to be installed before you install the datastage software so it can detect and set up the correct options to use your compiler. For windows the compiler option should not be G++....

The DB2 install that IA does by default I believe leaves the tablespaces / containers size as small and can be converted to large to enable the IADB to grow further. Apologies that I can not be more technical in the solution, but that is what our DB2 DBA verbally told me was the problem when he corr...

To clarify - These views are not built inside IA - As I have an offline environment and full control of the database - I am able to build and construct subsets of data, to drive areas of the rule base I create - such as current address quality for an active client. This way I can build the views, ru...

Copy Stage is it needed
In a job I can take a sequential flat file and connect it straight to a DB load stage or it has been suggested I can/should place a copy stage between them. Is there any benefit to this ? . Both methods work and the straight connection seems fine ?

I have had similar problems and have currently resorted to creating table views designed for testing some of the more complex business rules. My environment is discrete from the main system and I have the authority to do this. You can create simple join conditions in the rules editor, there is also ...

Profile functions selectable
For Information Analyzer - I would really like to be able to limit profiling actions by column - in the simple example of maybe only wanting length and null-ability for a free text string and wishing to omit processing this column for frequency or pattern analysis. I understand that columns can be e...
