Transformer

Transformer stage in parallel datastage is not accpeting two inputs. However, it is able to give two or more outputs.

I am trying to use the same stage for both input and output. I tried doing only input when it worked. Only output also worked. But when the same stage was used for both input and output, i got that error.

I am unable to use a sequential file for reading and writing. It is able to accept data as input but in output getting error like "The currently selected link is a reject output link.There are no properties that can be set for this type of link." The same error i am getting with dataset.I ...

Its pretty simple if the flag is different. When the flag is same, DaysSinceFromDate(Date1,Date2) function will give -1,0 or 1 as output. Obviously, if the output for two rows are -1 & 1 then the one having -1 is the preferred one. So, we can continue with this simple comparision. However, if th...

I am still on the process of learning. My basic learning process is questioning the forum & trying to solve the questions posted by others, reading the datastage books & stuffs like that. In nutshell, it is completely trial & error as there was no training for me when i was asked to work...

Iconv the two dates, take the difference & then OCONV with format as "D YMD". Trim the dates obtained now so as to get Month & then you can compare.
