You have to do it in two step.

First you need a certain daemon runing in UNIX, who is scanning a directory for tasks. If it is empty he will look back a certain time n again.

Second, you ftp a file with the task or as token via ftp to this server.

it is not as simple as you thing. The letters you mention should work without special NLS-settings in DataSTage.

You have first to look at source and target and if both of them are able to catch the letters.

Where do you get your data from and where do you want to leave them?

what do you have as input and how does it look like?

on your distribution CD there are same sample XML-files and jobs. Looking them through is very helpful. Thereafter you are surely able to do your job

If you can let your cube been read generaly on UNIX via ODBC DataStage can set up there.

If not you need on of this:

(a) DataStage as Server on you Windows PC
(b) Copy as flat file or else the data to UNIX

On the DataStage distribution CD there are xml-sample, install them and make similar jobs. That is a good first step and a great help.

Dear Hermant, Do it as you described. The VOC has many undocumented secrets and and everybody will blame you when there is a mistake.
