today, I installed win2003 x86 sp2 and ds7.5X2, and I set the access control successfully.

last time, I can't set right control on ds7.5, win2003 x64 sp2

I think it might sthing wriong between ds7.5 and win2003x64

and I assign full privilege for dsadm group to control "X:\Ascential\DataStage" folder.

I intalled ds7.5 on win2003se When I remote connect to the win2003 server, I can login the ds project as administrator,but not testuser. change your client PC regional language the same as the datastage server language.

Or install NLS on your Datastage server.

I use my OS user and password, but it is wrong.
The feedback is "Could not login to database $project_name as user invalid username or password"

Nor is administrator account.

I type the project name as the database name.
Am I wrong?

I want to access the universe database via ODBC.
I want to see or export all data of the universe through GUI tools.

If I can access the universe by ODBC, I needn't type command every time or develop a job using universe stage.

Is it possible to access the universe via ODBC?

The database is 'CATALOG" or datastage project names.
The database name is "UV","uv", or datastage project names.

But, I don't know the password!

I am try to access the datastage universe by ODBC.
I installed a universe database ODBC driver.
But I don't know what is the datastage default account and password.

When I develop a server job using Universe stage, the account and password is omit.
