I've reopened this topic.

Even though the logs are being purged as directed, the multi-instance job details are still appearing in my Director client view.

Is there an automated technique to remove the job details from the Director view when all logs for that (multi-instance) job have been purged?

Thanks, Craig. I'm setting auto-purge action to 'older than 2 days'.

Multi-instance job log cleanup

I am creating multi-instance jobs that are intended to run only once. The same instance of the job will never be run again unless there is a failure and need to rerun. My understanding is that auto-purge criteria is only considered the next time the instance runs. I'm looking for a technique that wi...

Passing paramter set in dsjob

I have a sequence that passes several parameter sets to a sub-sequence that is part of a loop structure. Running the sub-sequence sequentially w/in the loop structure is no longer viable. Instead, I want to make the sub-sequence multi-instance, and (via a Command activity), trigger instances to run ...

SAP PACK R/3 5.2.1 and NLS

I'm trying to load Chinese characters (e.g., 软件) into SAP using the IDoc Load stage. I've been able to migrate these characters throughout my process using the project default (ISO8859-1) character map. Unfortunately, when I reach the IDoc Load stage, I find that the only character map that is suppo...

Thanks for your timely response. Another question, though.

Is there anyway of knowing whether the characters '软件' are part of any character set?

I'm suspecting GB2312.

Cannot remove UV account LOGIN record

I get the subject message whenever I try to add a character set map in the Administrator client.

NLS is enabled and several maps have already been loaded.

Do I need admin privileges to add a map for a project?

I've tried several values for the "Load Packet Size", but nothing seems to make a difference.

I've given all the information to DS Support. If I get a resolution, I'll post it here.

IDoc Load PACK for SAP R/3

Can anyone explain how the subject stage works; i.e. how batches of IDocs are constructed and sent to the target SAP system? My job has been randomly successful in sending all of the intended IDocs. More often, though, the job finishes (with no warnings or errors) after sending just the first 50 IDo...

Use the Search facility here; e.g., "locked job".

You'll find plenty of explanations and options.

You can find plenty of cases where clients are sourcing from DB2 on the mainframe, but staging, processing, and loading targets on Unix platform. If anyone is sourcing and targeting DB2 on the MF, but processing on Unix or Windows, I haven't seen or heard of it. If there are, and unless it were a si...

If source AND target on the mainframe, then it does make sense to use the MVS product.

A radio button on the General Tab of the Lookup Stage lets you specify the Lookup Type; i.e., Singleton or Cursor. Singleton is the default.

Is the Lookup Type the same in both of your stages?
