Are you using Sequential File stage or Complex Flat File stage? Your mention of packed and sign position properties suggests the latter. ... Thank you ray for your response . Thank You reddy for your response .I saw the physical table definition .Its NUMBER(5,0) only .Still i am unable to resolve this problem .Have anybody experienced this type of problem ?? Please suggest .

Your head -1 command needs to be followed by the file name. The Sequential File stage reads stdout of the command rather than reading the file and applying the filter command to it. ...
