If you have installed only datastage, then you should not expect information server console to function in your environment.You have to install Information Analyzer first, then only you will be able to launch information server console.

This issue has been resolved. There was a duplicate entry (resource disk & scratch disk) in the configuration file (default.apt), We just removed the duplicate entry from this file, re-ran the job and it worked fine.
