Hierarchical Stage - assembly editor doesn't save data
Hierarchical Stage uses a graphical interface named assembly editor. By now it is not possible to close this editor with "OK" or "CANCEL" Button. Only way to close is to close the window with "X", but then are all changes lost. The problem exists on other workstations, ...

Jobs disappeared from DataStage-Director
Hi, from one day to the other - without changing anything on the DataStage-system - the jobs of one DataStage-project just disappeared (meaning that they are not visible anymore in DataStage-Director or Designer). Pretty strange behaviour since no deployments have been made. DS.REINDEX etc. didn't h...

the value looks like an upsidedown questionmark... Our datastage-developer just told me that this problem occurs only with parallel jobs - but not with server-jobs. Since I'm not a datastage developer I don't have any idea why this makes such a difference. Maybe it's a bug in parallel jobs? I have o...

That's what I was worried about :( I certainly had the hope that IBM has documented the CPU requirements (as Oracle does for it's database software). The license costs depend on the number of CPU's - now it's up to the enduser to figure out how many CPU's at least are needed. Pretty easy to stick wi...

CPU requirements DataStage 8.5
Hi, I'm looking for a document which describes the CPU-requirements for DataStage 8.5. We have installed DataStage on a virtual machine with Linux Enterprise Edition (Red Hat) as the operating system. The CPU's are Intel based (XEON). The first test with a one dual core CPU ended up in the situation...

stored procedure return value still empty
Hello,
The function is called with the syntax:
BEGIN :3 := STAGING.GET_PERIOD(:1, :2); END;
The function return a Varchar, the first ad second parameter are from type Input and the third (return_value) Function.
return_value is also set to output column, but the value is still empty.
Thanks
