I need to acces the last record of a hashed file. Is there any formula I can apply ?
Besides, is there any way to count the quantity of records of a hashed file ?
Thanks in advance.

Variable number of parameters when calling a routine
Hi my friends......
I need to know if it is possible to pass a variable number of parameters when calling a routine.
Sometimes I can use from 1 to 8 parameters and it would be good, that my routine can handle this situation.
Thanks in advance, and happy new year !!!

I'll try to explain my case. I have a tabla with two columns: PARAMETER, CHAR(50) VALUE, CHAR(50) Some rows of this table may be: PARAMETER VALUE ----------------- CONN01 SQL01 USER1 US01 PWD1 PWD01 So within a job I need to access this table to get some connection parameters to be used in the logic...

INvoking a store procedure from a routine
Hi forumers...... Is there a way to invoke a store procedure from within a routine ? Actually, I'm invoking a server job, which executes the store procedure and returns me a file with the found values. What I wish, is to invoke the store procedure from within the routine, and receive the values from...

Thanks a lot Arun for your response. I already talked to the basis team, and they will not change the 5 minutes set for the time out in priduction environment. Surely and soon, it's possible I will migrate to the new version of DS, in which it's the option of using SFTP in the ABAP stage, as I was t...

Using ABAP stage is not usefull for me
Hi forumers...... I'm using the ABAP stage for reading some SAP tables. Access to SAP table is by means of the CPIC communication. But the problem is that the time-out for the SAP system is set to 5 minutes. Sometimes this is not enough to read the entire table. I'm trying to use FTP services within...

I don't want two processors, just give me one to work fine
Hi. I recently made a migration from DS 7.5 to DS 7.5.2. This new release is supported with: - A virtual server with Windows 2003 SP2, - 2 processors. When we run the cutover the server was running with a very poor performance. And when we quit one processor, the server was running with the normal s...

About DS 7.5.2 vs. Windows 2003
I migrated my DS 7.5 to DS 7.5.2, in a new server with Windows 2003. I am having lot of performance problems, because jobs that executed in about 20 or 30 seconds, now are executing in 6 minutes. Is there any in-compatibility between Windows 2003 and DS 7.5.2 ? Any update to apply ? Thanks in advance.
