ok i resolved the last issue, empty dsn one.. the uvodbc.config was missing from project directory. I tested few jobs and they are running fine, Is there anything else I need to check to make sure everything is working properly?

Our Datastage 7.5.2 Server will be upgraded to 7.5.3 and we would like to know if we need to check this option Force Compile ( Parallel Jobs) while running Multiple Compilation wizard.

Logs are tables stored in Universe so you need to log in to TCL and execute CLEAR.FILE RT_LOGxxx command.

I am trying to run the ulimit -a, id" command from ExecSH in DataStage job and getting this error:

why is ulimit settings for a user different in datastage as compared to running ulimit command from unix command line?

It is not in the PATH. We have not installed DS Server yet.
What is the common path where a C++ compiler should be installed in Solaris?
We downloaded the trial version from www.java.sun.com (SubStudioExpress11) and moved it to the Solaris box so the SE can install it.
