Thanks Ray. I ran your command and it returned Object record name... OLEType... VOS10 CJUserVarsActivity I tried to export and then import again with the same problem occurring. I cannot open the sequence in Production due to this error. Is there anyway I can manually get the object into the reposit...

Stage Type Object 'CJSUserVarsActivity' not found
I exported a sequence from my development environment, I loaded it into my production environment and when I went to compile it in production, I got the following error: Stage Type Object 'CJSUserVarsActivity' not found. (LoadPIRMExtract_000_Controller.GlobalVariables) It worked no worries in develo...

The extract is run monthly and is a complete system extract. The source system is Jade (Object Oriented) therefore we need to extract to files and then load the files. Each file equates to a single database table in the staging area. We use CRCs to load the data efficiently. I don't think we can use...

Execute multiple jobs using a sequence
I have 70 jobs that all have the same parameters, except for one, the file name. Each job does the same thing, loads a data file into a database table. I want to loop through all of the jobs and execute them using a sequence. Is this possible? If not does anyone have any other ideas?

Re: Purpose of APTFieldProp in ds export file
Thanks to my friend Len Greenwood at ibm: APTFieldProp records various properties of a column on the link of a Parallel job. If you open a stage, go to the columns tab, right-click on a column and select "Edit row", you get a dialog headed "Edit Column Meta Data". There is a tab ...

Purpose of APTFieldProp in ds export file
I have two ds export files for the same job, but from different servers (dev and production). The values in APTFieldProp field differ between each file. Also, in some instances the APTFieldProp field exists in the first file but not in the corresponding DSSUBRECORD in the second file. Does anyone kn...

Thanks Everyone for your advice. We are not a Universe shop and therefore I would never get the training course approved. From the looks of things all the jobs where created well over 2 years ago where just built with UniVerse tables. I don't know why this was done as I wasn't working here then. All...

Universe read / write performance
Hi Everyone. I have hundreds of Universe Stages within our datastage jobs to simply store their data between various jobs. I am finding that records are written to the Universe stages at around 1000 to 2500 rows a second which ends up taking a long time when we have several millions of records to wr...
