Multiple Administrators

Dear All, Our project is set up in such a way that dsadm is the administrator. Then we have various developer groups like G1, G2 etc dsadm is added to all these groups so that members of the groups can access datastage. dsadm --> G1 --> User1, User2 dsadm --> G2 --> User 3, User 4 This is in our dev...

I would prefer all three. It is the same option that you would chose while invoking the Job Activity stage in a Job Sequence (Reset and Run if required) and then when a job aborts you might get some additional information if you do a reset

So reset --> run --> reset

Thanks

The issue was due to duplicates in DSParams. I have deleted them and now we are able to connect.

Thanks

Re-indexing did not help, the issue persists...

-------------------------------------
I did this...

cd $DSHOME
. ./dsenv
./bin/dssh

>LOGTO <Project>
>DS.REINDEX ALL

Thanks; But in these line of commands, i do not see anything project specific. How do I ensure that I re-index only this project? Should I 'LOG TO' to the project and execute the same command that we execute through administrator to re-index?

I thought about it but I am not able to connect through Administrator as well. Can I re-index without using Administrator?

Thanks.

Run-time error '457'

Hi,

When I try to connect to a project through any client, I get the below message.

Run-time error '457':
This key is already associated with an element of this collection

This is specfic to a project. All other projects on the server work fine. Pls suggest.

Thanks.

Just realised from looking into other posts that I can arrive at a solution to my second question of getting the country codes by writing a routine. So I would like to have an answer for the first question of how to achieve parallel processing rather than sequential execution.

Thanks, Pal.

CRC32 function is the most used for CDC (Changed Data Capture). DS can be designed to support SCDs but it depends on how your Data Warehouse is architectured. And for your information, the next release of DS is said to have a separate stage that will handle SCD.

ArndW,

I have DS 7.5 installed and the document that is available for stored procedure is version 1.1 (00D-TB043). So the document that you have referred 'Stored Procedure Stage Guide 2.0' is it a new version?

Thanks, Pal.

What you see is not neccessarily what is stored in the DB. It depends on the settings of your PC for ex. So use the dump function and get the hex values of the data stored and check if they are what you intended to store.

Select dump(<column_name>,16) from <table_name>;

Thanks, Pal.
