IA and Mainframe DB2

hello,
Does anyone know if I can use Information analyzer to profile DB2 data on mainframe directly. How does it work - through odbc?
What other ways to analyze mainframe db2 data.
Appreciate your suggestions.

I cannot even see the default project created on DS Administrator client or on the web/information server console. I could see that project directory was created successfully though on my box. I could not even create a new project on the information server console. I'll contact support and report ba...

It would be easier to run a query against your first database with a query like:

SELECT COL1 FROM DBASE GROUP BY COL1 HAVING COUNT(*) > 1

assuming col1 is your unique key

basic transformer

I want to develop a basic transformer job. Can someone tell me where to start? I can't find the "basic transformer" on my palette.

Ray, I don't have the update policy property value in my data set stage. Can you explain to me where it can be found? May be I'll explain what I'm trying to achieve better: I'm working on this design where I'm getting files from upstream. There could be any number of these files(1,10 or 100 per day)...

Thank you for the prompt response.
To use the funnel stage would require me knowing a predetermined number of input datasets beforehand, but I can have any number. My requirement is to concatenate them, whether it's 1 or 1000.

Concatenating datasets

I have a requirement to concatenate multiple data sets into a single data set for downstream processing. Can the datasets be 'cat' together in Unix or do have I have to do it datastage? It can be any number of datasets and I would like to concatenate them based on some file pattern. What would be th...
