Yes, for some interpretation of what "work" might mean. ... I mean - is this bandwidth within the Data Stage recomended bandwidth? Actually my intension is to identify wheather it's a bandwidth or latency problem. If everything (high bandwidth/low latency) within the recomended level of D...

Re: Slow Data Stage 7.5 designer

The only option would be to use either CITRIX or Remote Desktop to increase performance. Of course, another option would be to increase the bandwith between yourself and the client. Regards, Ray D We are using 25 resources @ 1536 KB Bandwidth - only 6 people are working in Data Stage rest are for S...

Re: Slow Data Stage 7.5 designer

Thanks Ray for the information. If we go for the second option (Although this is not the optimum solution, still) then what should be the recomended (if any) bandwidth for Data Stage to work, we have 6 people team at offshore, India?

Slow response in Data Stage 7.5 designer

We are using Data Stage v7.5 and using local client to connect to the Data Stage server (@ client network). Our Designer is running very slow. Specially once we are modifying the compiled (Or after running)job in the designer, for each click on the stage it took around 10 seconds to react. I know (f...

Back up from command line excluding the job executable

I need to take the back up from command line interface excluding the job executable and at the export time if a job/object is locked then automatically it will skip that job without asking for user intervention. Currently I am running a scheduled script of dsxport command from my windows XP m/c whic...

Orchdbutil command

 To run orchdbutil command from command-line we need to specify -server and -db_cs options along with some other options. What actually needs to mention for this two options. Server means DataStage Server or DataBase server. I have tried this command mentioning -server as DB server and excludi...
