So, I have no clue. 1) Tried to check posts here, find a few related ones, talking about /tmp/informationserver folder permissions, ownership, tried and fail. 2) Talked to IBM, they suggested to change the report workspace folder, tried and failed. 3) Change brower setting, failed too. Maybe I will ...

Re: Check client IP address
Thanks, it looks to me Datastage has bits and pieces, but not the whole picture. In ISauditLog, there are user, client machine name and login time, information there. In DS job log, user run the job is there too. But there is no client ip, which trigger the job run data. It might be recorded in xmet...

Check client IP address
We are using Datastage 8.7, Generic user id is used by development team here. Just want to know if there is any way to find out client IP address run datastage jobs. From the job log, we can see the user id who run the job, but since it is a generic user, we don't really know who actually run it. If...

Re: Where the Oracle Server is?
Since the server is Unix version, we can not install the client on the same box as server. I agree, since xmeta is not at the same box as DS Server, it introduce the risk of network issue, and other factors. However, connect to xmeta by other tools such as Toad is ok. I opened client trace under IBM...

Login DS Designer is very slow..
We are having an issue of logining DS Designer take very very long time. Instructed by IBM, tested logining Director, it is very faster. So it comes down to xmeta issue, however, if I test query on xmeta, it response to my query normally, not very slow. Everytime, Designer login stop at 40% for 1-2 ...

See, I read all posts here, still confused, even after I called IBM. 1) JOIN stage actually running on single node is from IBM support guy, he mentioned this is a bug and also suggested me use merge instead of join. 2) If aggregator doesn't need explicit key based partitioning, I don't understand wh...

Key-based partitioning IS needed in parallel jobs. A key-based partitioning algorithm will be selected under appropriate circumstances when (Auto) is left in place. This will always work but may be ... This means to me, in general, explicit key based partition is not needed since parallel job will ...

Partitioning
I am very confused about partitioning in DS Parallel jobs recently. Before, I feel key based partitioning is always needed in Join, remove duplicated, aggregator, merge stages, etc if job is running on multiple nodes. The reason is simply that key-based partition is the way to guarantee the same key...

InfoSphere CDC issue.
I try to test InfoSphere CDC as POC. Followed the link http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/data/library/techarticle/dm-1210cdctransactionstage/index.html Everything is ok, but CDC didn't work. 1) CDC didn't refresh properly. 2) Change didn't reflected in target My question is 1) Is CDC event server al...

How to find users login into one project
Just asked IBM how to find out users accesing one particular project, if possible, any activity log of each users on projects. IBM replied pretty much No way. However, I still believe there should be able to find out users login into one project, and maybe some events. Really want to know if anyone ...
