Probably it is a stupid question.

I didn't find view data button in look up file stage, then I don't know how I am able to view a subset of data in lookup file set.

Just want to check whether the data is actually I want, and the lookup file set was also generated by Datastage .

I download .net framework 2.0 and apply it into my system, and re-install the Ds client, it finished successfully

It is running for around 10 minutes.

And icons didn't run up in the desktop, and if I killed the installation process, it look like nothing installed.

You have to use a Transaction Size of 0 so commits are only done once at end-of-job. You then need to ensure the job aborts in order to force a rollback. One of my transformer just transfer sequencial file to sequencial file with the exactly same columns.

The first one is tab delimited, and the second format is comma delimited.

And when I view second file, it always complain that too many data in one column..

What is the problem ?

Sounds incredible...if datastage write data directly into essbase cube DB..

So if file size exceed partition limitation, it will cause OS error, and also hang up Datastage job ?

For example in FAT32, if the file size will be larger than 4G bytes. what will happen ?

I want to use sequential file to store temporary data during my Datastage ETL process.

I am not sure how datastage deal with the sequential file the the file's size will be larger than 2 G bytes..
