Is your datastage configuration running with 4 nodes, with the partitioning (dataset properties, input tab, partitioning subtab) set to ENTIRE ?

In the metadata for the lookup, try setting the columns to be nullable, both on inut to the lookup stage and on output from the lookup stage.

Thanks Ernie. This is very helpful. re : a) does the importer for 8.5 (schema manager?) understand all of the current constructs? I think the "mixed=true" is in the 2004 spec, AFTER the 7.5 importer was released. b & c) The message is in a 2Mb - 2Gb CLOB/xml transaction. The structure ...

I got a SIMILAR error message "Array execute failed for insert" when accessing an Oracle CLOB via the Oracle Enterprise Stage. IBM support stated that ORACLE CLOB is not supported in the Oracle Enterprise Stage. Thye suggested I use the ODBC Stage or the Dynamic RDBMS Stage instead. http:/...

According to the IBM support rep, accessing a CLOB via the Oracle EE Stage is NOT supported. :cry: They suggested I try the ODBC or DRS Stage. I tried the DRS Stage with the DBMS set to "Oracle" and this worked very well. :D Apparently this is posted in an APAR, but I don't even know whete...

Is there an option, perhaps in "advanced connection options" or in the DS server or project that needs to be set/updated for the DS-to-Oracle connection to handle CLOBs correctly ?
