The Rant

At the beginning of the year, we promised that the DSXchange.com web site would grow and mature into something that would make everyone proud. Our first step was to allow members to differentiate themselves as contributors either with their wisdom, like Ray, and those that chase Ray, and those who have invested in our site by becoming Charter members and paying a small fee to share in the wealth. The model is working and now it can move to the next step, which we plan to unveil in this newsletter.

Significant benefits are in store for both Standard and Premium Members, as well as some key opportunities for new sponsors and corporate clients. Andy Sorrell, our content manager and co-instructor of the Strategies2Learn lab series, Server to Enterprise Edition Transition, has created his first in a series of Video Tech Tips. This first installment will be available to the entire DSXchange membership, though in the future, these videos will be almost exclusively available to our Premium Members. Kim Duke of Duke Consulting has teamed up his applications and utilities with a redesigned www.tools4datastage.com, where many of his patent tips and tricks will continue to save many developers' "bacon". Check out the video on installing his ETLStats application.

Premium members will also have access to tools offered here on the site, for reduced prices, sometimes very deep discounts as offered with today's newsletter: Parameter Navigator with DwNav. Don't miss this great chance to get time saving tools for next to nothing.

As larger and more significant companies embrace the IBM® Websphere® DataStage product suite, more and more companies want to sign up their entire development team to access our content. That means companies who want more knowledge need greater, more meaningful access to our site. On the other side of the coin, companies with technologies and strategies that compliment these core products need pinpoint precision to target those who are on the front lines of any DataStage suite implementation. That's why we are going to solicit them for their contributions and collateral info as well as sponsorship. Their collective investment in our site will only benefit everyone. We have a new corporate and group pricing matrix that I hope you promote to everyone you know would benefit. Check out our volume discount pricing ...

Lastly, but by no means lightly, we are proud to announce our first official Silver sponsor, MetaView360 and it's founder, Barbara Nichols. Barbara is also a founding member of our DataStageXchange.com web site and has been a very active member in the Data Integration community. Check out her Sponsor Profile and respond to her ideas and strategies as she shares them with our premium members. Barbara sees the value of her relationship with us and hopes others will join her as co-sponsors.

The evolution continues. More ideas and members seem to press forward and upward. The ongoing Server to Enterpise Edition Transition Lab series is again being offered in Dallas. Please join Ray and our team for another great experience that will add to anyone's resume.

We hope you enjoy your experience with our growing family of sites. As always we hope to hear your opinions in the DSX Testimonials forum and your ideas at the Editor's Corner.

Have a good season!
