One of the best aspects of Ascential World was meeting people
that have only been “taglines” in the forums for
quite a while. In fact three of the top five posters managed
to make it to Vegas. We took a few pictures of the “DSX
crew”. Check out DSX at Ascential

Another thing that came through loud and clear was that many
of the attendees were extremely appreciative of the help they
received from everyone that’s ever posted a reply to
one of their questions. Below are some direct quotesr.

“The first time I used DSXchange I was under the
gun with a major project that was due the next morning. It
was almost complete, but in the middle of the night with time
running out, I was completely stuck trying to get a complex
series of jobs to work. I didn’t really expect a response
from anyone that late at night, but I posted out of sheer
desperation. I almost fell over when someone overseas replied
within fifteen minutes with an obscure trick that fixed the
problem and saved my butt. I was really glad no-one else was
in the office that late because they would have seen me jumping

That was pretty representative of what we heard from existing
DSX users. Also we expect to see quite a few new sign-ups
based on the new people we encountered at the booth. For instance,
one company (who also won an Ascential Customer Award at the
show) said they’d be shutting down an internal company
forum and switching all their developers to DSXchange based
on what they heard about DSXchange at the show. This is fairly
significant since they are currently running more than 200
systems with Ascential products.
